Winning lily creation by Anna Loshakova

With her eye for form, light and detail, Estonian floral designer Anna Loshakova once again manages to show the power of lilies in her latest creation. With this work, she won both the title BFF of the month of November and the grand prize of the BFF of the Year 2025 Contest.

The Bredefleur Friends Contest challenges international floral designers to create the most beautiful and creative work with sixty stems of lilies of their choice from the Bredefleur assortment. The winner gets a spot in the new product catalog, among other things, and is presented at important trade shows.

“I have to admit that choosing the right flower was the most challenging part of this contest for me. How can you stay calm and think rationally when you get to participate in such an inspiring project full of enthusiasm and fun and have access to the full palette of Bredefleur lilies?

In the end, to keep my sense of balance, I chose the white lilies Zambesi and Bowl of Beauty. Lilies in their purest form, symbols of serenity, purity and understated elegance. Almost immediately the concept for the design and the image of the model emerged. A woman who becomes part of a sculptural composition in which flowers, light and form merge into one living whole.

In this work, the lily for me symbolizes inner balance. Vulnerable but steadfast, radiant but subdued. It is a meditation between body, flower and stillness, a moment of temporarily still consciousness. I was touched by the cool glow and soft radiance of each petal in the final result, and I hope you can feel it too.

Anna's work goes beyond a traditional floral arrangement. She looks for clarity, tranquility and balance in her designs. Choosing the white varieties Zambesi and Bowl of Beauty created a design in which flower, body and light are one.

The creation feels refined and powerful at the same time. For Anna, the lily symbolizes inner balance, something evident in the calm composition and soft lines of her work.

The moment, which she herself describes as a temporary stasis of consciousness, translates into an image in which, for a moment, everything seems to settle down, as if the model and the flowers are taking one breath together.

The result is a work that is both personal and impressive. This creation earned Anna not only the title of BFF of the Month for November but also the prestigious BFF of the Year 2025 Award.
