Anna Loshakova: A Letter From a Bredefleur Friend

The experience of working with Bredefleur lilies has been not only inspiring and delightful but also joyfully addictive.

I’m afraid I don’t have enough words to describe the admiration and inspiration I’ve experienced with the wonderful Bredefleur lilies. It was my first time working with such a variety of lilies in one project. Without a doubt, these lilies have found a place in my heart and set a benchmark for quality that will last a long, long time.

Wow, What a Ride

The moment you unpack these flowers, a meditative journey toward unity with their beauty begins. Watching each new bud open, you fall more in love with them until you completely lose yourself in the lush splendor of full bloom and subtle aroma—very tactful and elegant in scented varieties.

In my designs, I presented the Dark Secret and Master varieties—both showcased in a mono-performance to fully enjoy the grace of the lilies.

For the Dark SecretI chose an unusual frame with a clear geometric shape but smooth lines and pure color. Against this background, the rich, deep shade of the lilies, along with the symmetry of their buds and the curves of their petals, emerged in their almost mathematically verified beauty.

Estonia and these lilies

The other design carried a hidden message. Estonia is a relatively cold country, and sometimes, we still have snow and night frosts even in April. Here, the Master lilies became a symbol of the undeniably approaching spring for me. You can see these lilies nestled in the folds of the blanket in my arrangement. The delicate tone, the gradient from white to pink, and the incredibly large opening of these flowers’ buds personify the imminent awakening of nature, while the strong stems and lush inflorescences leave no doubt about their durability. Master-lilies for me are a symbol of the unmistakable approach of spring. You can see these lilies lying in the folds of the blanket in my composition. The soft hue, the gradient from white to pink, and the incredibly wide opening of the buds depict the awakening of nature, while the strong stems and lush inflorescences leave no doubt about their sturdiness.

A photography experiment

I cannot close without mentioning two other varieties of Bredefleur lilies that touched me: the bold and bright Dutch Design and the soft, mysterious Zelmira. They are so different, but both have such a distinct character of their own that I conducted a little experiment: I captured them in female portraits, to express their unique beauty and character.

To Be in Awe Forever

This project is one I wish could last much longer. It was a great pleasure and a true honor. The experience of working with Bredefleur lilies has been not only inspiring and delightful but also joyfully addictive.

I look forward to experiencing it again.

Sincerely yours,

Anna - from now and forever a friend of Bredefleur
