A meeting with the Bowl of Beauty

As a Bredefleur Friend, Djordje had the opportunity to work with the double white OT lily for the first time Bowl of Beauty. The experience proved immediately inspiring.

The Bowl of Beauty is unique of its kind: it contains no stamens and therefore forms an exceptionally full flower. This makes her not only visually impressive, but also very practical for luxury interiors and events, as there is no risk of pollen stains. Djordje was fascinated by the way the flowers unfolded, from bud to full bloom, with a soft fragrance that remained present without being overpowering.

A creation full of grandeur

His first design with this particular lily was presented at the iconic Carlton Hotel in Cannes, a location that by itself exudes luxury and grandeur. In this setting, Djordje gave the lilies all the space they needed to display their beauty. By strategically placing a few branches against a pillar, the flowers were shown to their best advantage.

He combined the fresh white of the Bowl of Beauty with rich blue hydrangeas, playful viburnum, clematis, white vanda and pink delphinium. The result was a composition that exuded pure class and perfectly matched the grandeur of the hotel.

A flower full of possibilities

What Djordje particularly appreciates about the Bowl of Beauty is its versatility. He sees potential for both grand, theatrical arrangements and subtle, intimate designs. "It is a spectacular flower that attracts attention, yet remains elegant and soft," he says. "That makes her suitable for many different styles and settings."

Djordje looks forward to working with this particular OT lily more often in the future. For him, the Bowl of Beauty is not only a new discovery, but also a source of inspiration to further expand and enrich his creations.

A wonderful discovery.
